Patterns, shapes and things in boxes

Oh yes, it’s good to be back in the land of vide greniers and marches au fermier.  Lately I’ve been drawn to patterns, especially patterns of things  arranged in boxes.  Last Saturday at the farmer’s market I was attracted by a  selection of  garish sweets in open trays.  Miam, miam is French for yum, yum.

After the hurley-burley of the farmer’s market, I took refuge in Les Trois Soliels, my favorite Moroccan shop.

an invasion from outer space?

It’s  Sunday, the day of the vide greniers, those wonderful village flea markets where people put all sorts of things in boxes.  First I came across a rich display of notions,  colorful spools of thread lined up in boxes. You button collectors would go wild over the boxes of vintage buttons.

Then there were the men’s treasures. Hefty iron tools nicely arranged in boxes. Note the interesting background patterns of  the open plastic crates.
