La Cascade is a sanctuary where you can sleep, work and relax in style and
comfort. It was renovated to host creative workshops.
From the welcoming yellow kitchen to the calm décor of the bedrooms, and the efficient and fun studio… It was a perfect environment for creativity, as a totally unique and distinctive place to learn, located in one of the most unspoiled and comforting places imaginable. I look forward to returning.

The money you earn at La Cascade could finance a European holiday. Barcelona, The Pyrenees, the Mediterranean, and Provence are within a half day’s drive.
I’ve taught twice at La Cascade and have gone on from there to other destinations. I’ve been able to visit Barcelona, Paris, Florence and driven through Tuscany and Provence, all a short car, bus train or plan ride away. But honestly, one of the best spots is the tiny village of Durfort cradled in its surrounding hills.

Gwen is there to help you get settled. She can help you work out the
challenges of being in a new environment as well as direct you to places you would like to visit.
I have taught at many venues throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico and La Cascade provides the setting and support for a magical experience that I have not found anywhere else – an experience that you will love and enjoy sharing with friends and students!

You are surrounded by a serene atmosphere in which time relaxes and worries recede.
There isn’t a place I go that I don’t broadcast my love of the beauty and sense of artistic freedom that I find in France and La Cascade. Each year I must return to the creative haven of La Cascade. This will be my fifth year of attendance.
